Hackers as Actual Producers

The Yes Men are on to something and Mckenzie Wark could probably explain exactly what, for the time being. The Yes Men are on a mission to save the world. Through lectures and conferences the Yes Men represent people and their ideas in their most pure form, which has been lost in the world of information. The most interesting part of the film The Yes Men Movie, were the reactions of the working class vs. the pre-working class who are becoming educated in the eyes of the vectoralists.  The working class absorbed everything the “WTO” representatives claimed and suggested without question, just as they have been trained to do so. On the other hand, the pre-working class, the class soon to be educated by vectoralists, is more naturally inclined to respond and raise questions.

The Yes Men create webpages posing as official companies or people invloved in these companies or any type of politics. Then, people visit the sites without any knowledge of who actually runs the site and occasionally they will send invites to conferences or lectures. The Yes Men take the plunge and show up to these events in full costume. I think it's great how far they can take each senario. Most people would have the same issues with the companies as the Yes Men do, but they don't realize that actions can be made that make an impact.

The Yes Men use satire as their main strategy for exposing the truth. Their second strategy is the use of the internet. All of their source material comes from the internet. It's amazing that their whole operation is possible because of the internet, and the internet makes it easy. Whenever they need to make a fake ID, there's millions on the internet waiting to be appropriated from. When they create power point presentations for lectures, they get all their clip art and images from google.
